4th Heidelberg Deformity-Day
International Congress for the Correction of Complex Foot-Deformities
September 30th – October 1st, 2011
Heidelberg
October 24, 2011
For the fourth time in a row, this year’s “Heidelberg Deformity-Day” enthralled more than 120 participants and speakers from all over the world with its interactive and multidimensional concept on September 30 and October 1, 2011. Initiated and organised by the renowned foot surgeons from the SWR documentary series “Die Knochen-Docs”, Dr. Wolfram Wenz and Dr. Thomas Dreher, the congress again offered an ideal platform for further education and professional exchange.
The scientific programme focused on the management and strategies to avoid complications in foot and ankle surgery. The renowned faculty presented the most important topics in paediatric and adult foot surgery including the problems after complex foot and ankle traumas or diabetes associated problems.
Additionally to the regular presentations, panel discussions, audience-response sessions and cases of the audience sessions provided the participants with the possibility to further discuss and exchange their knowledge and experiences.
During the breaks and lunch workshops, the 16 companies of the much-frequented industrial exhibition were able to present and demonstrate their latest products, while engaging in conversation with the participants.
The Bavarian Get Together in the industrial exhibition area formed a successful conclusion to the first congress day. Enjoying Bavarian specialties, the participants, the faculty and the exhibiting companies had time to meet and talk in a relaxed atmosphere.
Again, the 4th Heidelberg Deformity-Day was a very successful and instructive congress in the field of foot surgery, and the participants as well as the chairmen are looking forward to the next edition.
